About me
In Grade 7, I got my first computer.
It was an old grey machine running Windows 3.1. My uncle, a government engineer, showed me how to write my first lines of code.
Before computers, I was already curious about electronics. I used to build small circuits and simple electronic projects at home.
When I saw my first program run, I was hooked.
I started building small tools like billing systems, library software, and simple business apps. I even sold a few of them. That was the start of building things people actually use.
From there, I kept going. I worked on projects after school, on weekends, and late nights. Over time, that turned into a career.
What I do now
I'm a Senior Software Engineer based in Auckland, New Zealand, with 15 years of experience.
I build software that replaces manual work with simple and reliable systems.
I've worked across many industries, including airlines, travel booking (hotels and flights), education, distance learning, telecom, and real estate etc etc.
How I work
I like simple solutions.
Most of the time, the goal is not to build more. It is to remove extra steps, reduce manual work, and make systems easier to use.
Interests
Outside of work, I still enjoy electronics and IoT.
It started early with small circuits and hobby projects, and it's something I still enjoy exploring today.
Where I'm heading
I'm focused on building systems that run smoothly with less manual effort, and growing toward a self-sustaining software business.
